SECOND AMENDMENT-

I strongly support the Second Amendment.  Our founding fathers knew the vital importance of man’s inherent right to defense of self, family, and property.  Sadly, that natural and constitutionally protected right has been infringed by both federal overreach and Oklahoma state law.  I will work to restore Oklahomans’ unalienable right to self defense and the right to keep and bear arms.  I will not add to the regulation thereof. 

 

PROPERTY RIGHTS-

Our founding fathers understood clearly that owning private property is one of the foundations our society and is in fact, a basic tenet of freedom itself. Thus, through the common law, state law, and the Constitution worked to protect our property rights—the rights of people to freely acquire, use, and dispose of property. With modern government these rights have been seriously compromised.  I will work diligently to reverse that trend and protect the property rights of the people of my district and the state of Oklahoma.

 

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY-

As a husband, father and small business owner, I know firsthand the importance of living within our means.  I will work diligently to shrink government to a size that both meets the current promises it has made and does not place increasing burdens on the people of Oklahoma.  We have wonderful people and resources to help us meet this challenge.  We all know that personal responsibility and fiscal responsibility go hand in hand.  Together we can shrink government and set the people free to grow and prosper at the same time.
